So, you've heard me talking about going to Canada. I've been talking about it for nearly two years now, and I wouldn't be surprised if you had reached the conclusion that I'd given up or forgotten about it. More likely it was just never going to happen.
I paid the balance (a whopping $69) of my tickets about a week ago, and picked up my "tickets" this week. Of course they're e-tickets, which is great because they're much harder to loose. On the flip side I still feel nervous about going through the everyone's-a-terrorist capital of the world with such a ticket.
This happened after a decision was made that with the Rolling Stones popping in to do a couple of concerts I'd delay my flights a couple of days so I could make it up in Auckland. So the great adventure now involves going via San Francisco instead of LA. Sadly I'll only be staying at SFO for 5 1/2 hours, which is OK because they have t-mobile hotspots and those strange American power points.
On a computer note my copy of Aperture arrived on Tuesday. It runs surprisingly well on a 12" PowerBook, and the 1.0.1 update does a lot of good. Now to wait for the 1.1 update, and then to persuade myself that it's time to get a MacBook Pro. Except for the name. Gah.
