Nothing is more persistent than a police dog

So, you haven't heard from me in a while and you're wondering if I still exist and if so what I'm doing. Heck, even if you weren't wondering that I'm going to fill you in anyway because I'm in the mood to do so and nothing is going to stop me. Except perhaps for a silver bullet.

I'm still at ITS, at VUW. I'm still a programmer. I spend my days either working on a project that is set to go live in the next month, or on the site for the wireless project or a couple of other projects. Either that or in meetings. Wow. I spent more of Friday in other parts of VUW than I did at my own desk, which was fine by me because it was so hot the common cold was practically melting. (I must say, though, I will miss the web group meetings when I leave VUW.)

I'm still going to Canada, except due to circumstances for which I am mostly responsible I'm leaving on April 16th now. I arrive in Vancouver about 15 minutes before I leave Auckland in yet another example of the wonders of travel across the international date line.

Have I got a job there? Of course not, I'm not that organised. I mean really. So I've been watching craigslist, but I'm not sure if that's the best place to start looking. It'll do for now. Have I got somewhere to live there? Of course not, again. I've been watching craigslist as well as a couple of other sites to have an idea of what to expect. I'm not there until 2 months from now, there's not much I can do with such a lead time.

Well, that actually explains a lot of my confusion on Friday when I called you.

I thought I'd missed something, but in actual fact you hadn't told your blog audience.

I've been terrible with this blog of late. I'd like to blame work, but that wouldn't be fair.

I think I'll blame the same force that has resulted in having over 4,000 unread feed items in FeedLounge. Flickr.
