10/20/30 rule of Powerpoint: If you do presentations read this.

Erik asks "What the fuck kind of stupid name is MacBook Pro?

The Shadowland/Lightroom Development Story - interesting read, especially as Lightroom is availbale as a free beta download. Sadly it doesn't feel that much faster than Aperture, and the lack of stacks and the ease at which Aperture handles projects and displays them and various albums. Still, it's far more free than Aperture at present, and the ability to hit a key and either dim/black out entirely the rest of the screen is quite nifty.

Rory suffers from Conference Fatigue and as usual hilarity results.

Microsoft abandons Mac WMP and we're supposed to care? I haven't had the Microsoft WMP installed on this PowerBook since I bought it. Too bad, so sad, never mind was my philosophy if it came down to being offered WMV9 content. I've installed the Flip4Mac plugin, and so far it's working reasonably well though.

Macworld MacBook Pro FAQ includes many things you wished Apple had already told you. (Yes, you can do s-video/composite with an adapter, battery life, so on.)

What's in a name?: "During Steve Jobs’ keynote at the Macworld Expo he announced a new Intel iMac and the new MacBook Pro. The MacBook Pro is the new name for Apple’s professional portable computer (formerly known as the Powerbook)."
