Summarising 2005

:: What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before?
Visited the US, went to WWDC, had a holiday by myself, got a full time salaried job.

:: Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't make new year's resolutions.

:: Did anyone close to you give birth?
My cousin did.

:: Did anyone close to you die?
Not this year, thankfully.

:: What countries did you visit?
Australia, the US

:: What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005?
More time to travel. This may even happen.

:: What dates from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
June 5th (the day I arrived in the US), June 6th (the day Steve Jobs announced the switch to Intel, I was in the audience), June 9th (seeing 1 Infinite Loop), June 13th (the day I saw Yosemite).

:: What was the best thing you bought?
My two trips (Yosemite & Sonomoa Valley wine tasting) in San Francisco.

:: Where did most of your money go?
Toys and food, and that holiday.

:: What did you get really, really, really excited about?
WWDC. The chance to be surrounded by Apple faithful, and the chance to experience American candy in person.

:: Compared to this time last year, are you:
* happier or sadder? happier I think. * thinner or fatter? About the same. Less fit probably. * richer or poorer? Richer. Go salary!

:: What do you wish you'd done more of?
Sleeping. I didn't get nearly enough sleep this year.

:: What do you wish you'd done less of?
Spending money.

:: How will you be spending Christmas?
At Home in Auckland. I've got two weeks off work and I intent to use them.

:: Did you fall in love in 2005?
Not this year.

:: How many one-night stands?
None.

:: What was your favourite TV program?
Six Feet Under. Watched the first four seasons on DVD at a rate of about one a week.

:: Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? No, I tend to resist hating anybody for longer than a year. :)

:: What did you want and get?
To see Steve Jobs live.

:: What was your favourite film of this year?
City of God was probably the best. I've seen so many on DVD it's hard to say any other way. Of the handful I saw in the theatre? Probably The Chronicles of Narnia.

:: What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
May 24th. I turned 21. The first year I actually did something to celebrate it in a while.

:: What kept you sane?
Weekends.
