I found myself sitting on the couch this afternoon. This is not, in and of itself, unusual. I can often be found sitting on a couch. Except when I'm at work where despite my repeated explanations of why a couch would make me more productive I'm still stuck with an office chair. However, my preferred seating is not what this is about, oh no.
So, I found myself there browsing flickr, and I added a photo to my favourites. Then I wondered "who do I favourite the most?" not because of any desire to play fair but simply because I wanted to know who was the best.
Being somewhat of a masochist when it comes to dealing with computers, I set about loading up a page and doing a tally in a text editor of how many to each person. Upon thinking "I could flex my flickr api muscle!" (after going through 3 pages I might add) and then wondering "why the hell didn't I flex the api?" I set down to think about using the API. I conjured up the magic and got the Phlickr PHP5 Flickr API magic glue thing running (and after some patches which I should probably submit back... later maybe). Not much later I had some preliminary magic running, which tells me that I really like photos by Tampen.
