Hi there. You might remember me from such blogs as this one, that one over there, or even real life.
I've been meaning to post this for the last few days, but had some other things to clear up first.
Item the first, a new job.
Well, I'm still at VUW, and indeed, still working for ITS. However, as of last Monday I have a six month contract in the Applications & Projects group as a "Web Developer". This is great because for this period of time I get to focus on development, rather than, well, the hodgepodge of things I did before. My first week has been busy. (Oh $deity, do people really like having meetings?) However, my new desk has 3 screens, which I'm sure will only increase my productivity. (New flickr photos will show up some day.)
Item the second, tickets to Canada purchased.
I leave Auckland at 7am on March 18th. I arrive in Vancouver at 7:30am, March 18th. At any rate between then and now I have to establish if I need a Visa to get off and reboard planes in Honolulu (I believe I do, but damn it, I don't want to pay $160 + airfares to Auckland when I'll only be "in the US" for 3 hours total), pack up my life here, and find a job either in Canada or find somewhere else. I bet you never thought it would happen, didn't you?
Item the third, a PSP.
In a moment of weakness I purchased a PSP yesterday. So far I've used it to watch video on the bus, and tomorrow shall see the watching of some vlog entries. It needs a larger memory stick however. I also lack games. This is something that may have to be rectified.
