About 4 hours in to the flight now, so dinner has been served, the first movie has played, the lights have been dimmed. Now is the time when they play a "movie" that you occasionally open your eyes to and find a girl talking to a zebra and wonder if you really are awake.
I think the fact that your reading this (typed at the time, I assure you) gives some credence to this scene actually taking place. Damn zebra, makes too much noise I say. Who lets zebras fly in the cabin anyway?
My tactic when flying over was to change my time at halfway. My only problem with doing that this time is that it'll keep me on Satuday (it's now 2:05am, Saturday 18th June, PDT), which maybe isn't a bad thing. I've kind of starting to think of it as Sunday though, so it would seem like then I was going back to Saturday. Probably best not to question the logic of the crazy man.
(Sat 2:10am PDT) Right, we had a short break there, I used the toilets and discovered the liquid soap they have is Manuka Honey. Wow. My hands feel ever so slightly revitalised.
I'm now to discover, it seems, the complete lack of any video on this laptop what so ever. If it weren't for my trip to the toilet slightly earlier (I'm in a window seat) I'd brave asking to get up and acquire my iPod's firewire cable from my bag in the overhead locker. I'm sure there's things on there... I know there is at least one movie (possibly Wasabi, which is possibly too in a foreign language for me to be able to handle in this state of tiredness).
I think now be as good a time as any to get some shut eye. So now it's time for stephanie to go back to fratenising with the magazines.
(Sun 3:02am NZST) I slept. Nearly 5 hours I think. Probably not the worlds best sleep but boy did it fill in the time. Current video entertainment is an episode of Taste New Zealand, which amitttedly I have been known to enjoy, but quite frankly I wish they'd get on to the crap movie that I want to see tonight.
So yes, a little under 2 1/2 hours of flight time remaining, so breakfast shouldn't be too far away. stephanie & the iPod are both now set to New Zealand time, though I'm not sure if it feels more like 3:06am or 7:06am. Come on be time for the movie...
(Sun 9:58am NZST) Home.
