Today I implemented a new sidebar for my site. I've kind of wanted a way of listing movies I've seen (without filling a whole entry), and also a neat way of displaying the Question of the Day entries.
It's done with a sprinkling of CSS, and a smidgen of javascript (the first, and most likely only, I'll use here), and should be fine for users without JavaScript. Those without CSS should be ok as well, although it's not using nested lists, but never mind.
It's built using three classes in PHP, and then merged with Smarty to generate the tabs and the switching. The PHP part is flexible enough to allow reuse (almost) anywhere, a little editing of the JavaScript would probably be necessary for more than one set of tabs in a page though.
