Wow, I posted last night.
In between then and and now I've been to an Interface Meeting, had a DoubleLust, and of course the meeting ended up in a close up down in CO(something)/memphis. My iBook discovered the joys of being connected to a 17" LCD running at 1280x1024. It liked it very much. It keeps going "buy me an LCD patrick... buy me an LCD..." it may be hard to ignore. Stupid iBook and it's talking. At least I think it's the iBook talking. It could be the TV. Or perhaps the DVD player - I'm quite sure it's trying to persuade me to buy stuff with subliminal messages (occasionally some white text pops up for less than a second... would explain why I needed 5.1 sound).
I decided it was time to clear out \dodie\patrick (aka my 'My Documents' under Windows), which weighs in at a healthy 5.3gb. This is partly because I am currently using 99.4GB of my 120GB drive. This mightn't worry other people, but... perhaps it's my computers way of persuading my to buy a larger hard drive. Anyhow I discovered some MP3s that I didn't know were there - like Forrest Gump CD1, and some Weird Al I had given up for lost. Gentle people with flowers in their hair. I didn't really delete much, but I did dump a whole lot of stuff in the Archive/ folder :)
Paradigm PCs are now selling iPods (the 20gb is about $20 cheaper than MagnumMac). I wonder what the requirements are for Renaissance to sell iPods (and other Apple gear, like mouse, keyboard, iSight et. al.)
I could get a 160GB HDD, then I would have 280GB of storeage. But then I'm using 30% of it even before I start. (160GB would be about $200) If only I could afford to waste $500 - then I could buy a 300GB drive, and have 420GB of storeage. Mmm storeage. Think of all the digital (insert media of your choice here) I could store! Of course for $00 I could get 320GB accross two drives, and have 440GB. Now to contemplate how I could get that to show as one huge volume under Windows, or heck anything that would let me go "How much space is there on this 'device'?" "What? Only 300GB of free space? I demand a recount!".
That however is about all for today. Long though it was, you've endured it to the end. You therefore get the extra special treat of viewing http:/
