Well I've made it through another Christmas. I'm not 100% sure how :)
Did the open present thing, got plenty of stuff that I like (mmm sugar), I can use (clothes), I can read (books), I can listen to (CDs, ripping now). Most likely other stuff as well. Oh yeah, and Buena Vista Social Club on DVD. I liked that movie. It was good. (I saw it in a little 50 person private cinema - film cinema mind you - in Avondale.)
We went to my cousins as we do every year, it was a little smaller this year (my uncles family weren't there, my cousin Sam was off at his girlfriend's somewhere else), but my Aunty Jill was over from the UK, which is extra goodly special.
My cousin Jess' now year old baby Zoe is now a year old (on Dec 24 just gone), wow. She's so much bigger and more vocal, and she likes strawberries, so she must be good.
However while there have been a number of Christmas day changes this year (not having Julie at breakfast, not going to Barb's with mum, but with Nana, not having Grandma Bates at Christmas lunch), somethings stay the same (I've spent Christmas night at Julie's for the last huge number of years), and I guess that makes up for it all.
I just read last year's Christmas lj entry. About the biggest change is mentioning CDex, when this Christmas my cd encoding is being done on iTunes on a mac. A little change though.
So yes, for those just entering Dec 25th, merry Christmas. For those now exiting, hope your day was good.
