Worms and talking clocks

I've changed my desk layout again. I could really do with an LCD monitor to use at the desk, then maybe I could use an external keyboard with a bit more ease. How I have it now doesn't 100% suit continuous use. It'd be fine if I was doing my work elsewhere, and only occasionally working here, but I do most of my productive work here, and I could see it getting tiring on my neck. But if I'm careful I guess I should be fine.

I was just contemplating what I could do with lila(.pftqg.com) - my server - if I were to move my hosting to a colo'd machine. I could move that machine to Windows Server 2003, and play with Active Directory, Remote Access and Routing services (and thus also get access to all the super cool command line interfaces to it), and associated apps (which I just can't do on that machine currently - I can't afford the downtime). Or of course I could do the other thing I want to do: install linux. In fact, I'd like to have a go with allowing any device on to the network, but only to a webserver requiring authentication to proceed (and if satisfied allowing external / otherwise net access).

I changed my SSID today... it's now simply wireless.pftqg.com. WEP (128bit, of course) encryption finally got enabled - although mac address filtering has been in place since day 1. I'm not really worried about evil doers, but shrug, you never know. Adds another barrier to entry.
