On the topic of the VUWSA website
I moved the VUWSA website to the new provider today, and helped change DNS over. I'll go in monday to sort out the Clubs pages.
On the topic of converting Publisher files to PDF without Acrobat
Firstly it insists that you have a postscript printer installed in order to Save As Postscript. Once you install a dummy printer, and install GhostScript 8, then you can easily Save as Postscript, drop to the command line and do a ps2pdf. (Well, you do have to add c:\gs\gs8.00\bin and c:\gs\gs8.00\lib to your path.) And it works quite nicely. I was impressed by own resourcefulness in getting this to work. Entirely on Windows 2000 I might add. (I was amazed it let me add a printer actually... it's not an Administrator account, so... but it did so I was happy.)
On the topic of my computers
I attached a keyboard and mouse and the monitor to lila(.pftqg.com), primarily so I could use WinAmp3 there to create my playlist there, while also using my iBook. Working on multiple computers is great fun :) - although it would be nicer if it had a bigger monitor, and of course even nicer if it was say a nice new G5, but I guess we can't have everything. I can wish though.
I am for the first time in a long long time (so the entire time I've had my Mac) using a homepage in Safari. It loads my portal, and I have the 'Home' button my toolbar. How quaint! And it loads on a new window...
On the topic of me
Hope you all had a great day. I know mine just wasn't all that bad really. And I don't have a lot else to say, so I won't. Oh yeah, I changed the pftqg.com homepage today. It looks cool.
