(39,885,990,312 bytes) Size on Disk: 37.1GB (39,900,921,856 bytes) Contains 7,042 Files, 984 Folders.
Difference between size & size on disk is 14.3352MB, or on average 0.002MB/file. Average file size is 5.4MB.
As to actual length of the entire music collection? SHRUG. I ain't game enough to add the whole directory to winamp over WLAN, and heck, checking 7,402 files would take it's time on Lila, running locally. Maybe another day :)

Now, can you understand why I think a 30gb iPod is both too small, and excessive, and thus totally useless to me? I mean, think about it. It won't fit all my music, so I can't carry it all around. So I'd have to cull some of it. But then only 7gb. So, dear internet user, how would I do that? I mean a 10gb would be way easier. Same criteria as iBook - has only 8GB of music stored on it - only the absolute best stuff.
