A little rain can't dampen the first year mocking opportunity...

Today was the first day of the rest of the UNI year I guess. It also marked the official 'throw www.vuwsa.org.nz in peoples faces' day - it was there in salient, even showed my super cool menubar thing (which doesn't have drop down menus, because they are not good in JS).

And then, of course, there was the MOCK THE FIRST YEARS opportunity! This is not to be missed!

I mean, seeing them line up for hours for Student Notes, for the bookshop, and being so eager to go to lectures.

Yay - no work to do tonight! I've got to go do some publisher/word --> pdf stuff tomorrow morning, and then I've got a tut from 12-2 (which I won't have to do much at at all), ELCM2xx from 2-4, and then INFO212 4-6.

Oooh oooh oooh: Got the quote for a new screen for my laptop: $726.99, incl. GST. Now, before you go "GODDAMN THATS EXPENSIVE", I should tell you I was orignally 'informally' quoted ~$1,500. So now have to send off to insurance, hopefully they pay or replace, or I'm going to be very poor. I don't really want to have to pay for a new screen, but if insurance won't, I guess I will.

Laters y'all.
